Network equipment & AC Cooling - instructions re; AC
Crafts Room.
the first thing to do is check to see if the AC unit is actually
operating (make sure it is set fomore...r cool and not heat). The unit is
located next to the wall of the laundry room. There are two there, one
for the kids room and one for the entire bldg that includes the crafts
room. I can't remember off hand which unit is which, but turning off the
one for the kids room temporarily will solve that problem for you. if it
is not running, check to see if the safety overload switch has tripped.
there is a smallish box on the wall about waist high next to the unit
with some electrical conduit running to it from the AC unit. open this
box and check if the switch is in the on position. if you can't tell,
flick it to the opposite position and see if it starts. if it doesn't
after a minutel, then flick it back to where it was and then check the
circuit breaker box inside the laundry room. it might be hidden behind a
picture or certificate hanging on the hall just south of the bathroom
door. scanning down the names of the breakers you should find one or two
labelled CHAC or similar. see if they are on. it can be a little tricky
since they only move a little when they disconnect. moving them all the
way to the off position and then back to the on position resets them. if
you do this and the AC begins running that is good, however the
functioning should be checked by feeling the output lines of the unit
where they exit the AC to see if they are getting nice and cold. if none
of this gives a good answer, it is likely time for a technician. don
